I watched the film trailer for lottery ticket . in the trailer , there is the main scenes featured . this includes the funny parts , the fight scenes and silly parts . theses parts of the movie are always feautured in the trailers of the films . they are the typical codes and conventions of a movie trailer . the directors name and the casts names were featured in the trailer , so viewers wil be more attracted to the movie . in the trailer , the main starof thefilm(and the richest most popular)was featured . he is a rapper – actor stagenamed bow wow . the genre of the film is basically comedy  , which features violence , which is included in the trailer . this trailer is aimed at teenagers ,despite a lot of adult actors in it  . but they are all related to rap music . this is how it attracts a young audience of both genders  , but mainly boys . from watching the trailer , you get a better view and perspective of the movie . the film trailer represents comedy . it makes us assume it is a good fun movie for teenagers . the trailer tells us more than the poster , because we can review the acting and the main themes of the movie .

evaluation

In my movie poster, the typical codes and conventions I used were the title of the movie, the age certificate, credits and the production company. This will attract a wider audicence, as they know what they expect, especially through the certificate which tells viewers the age. The film poster is representing love and comedy. Also, names of the stars are featured . Most films add on to their moves by doing a soundtrack and book. I have decided to use paramount pictures as it attracted a wide audience with movies such as no strings attached which is a popular new movie. Paramount pictures are a widely known mainstream company that present many films every year. In my trailer I have represented my main character .the people in the trailer are representatives and stereotyped into a certain group.a film trailer helps get a wider audience of people , by previes of it on the internet .

This poster is for the film lottery ticket . the poster has an image of  young characters on it . In the background there is an image of a shop where the lottery ticket was bought. The main conventions of a movie poster are an eyecatching image and a catchy slogan and interesting title. The title is the main point of the film .The colour of the text is white and the writing is set out in a specific way the l and y is a larger font than the rest of the letters . It is placed in the middle of the poster .underneath the title theire is a slogan saying winning is just the beginning , surviving is another story . it gives of the main points of the story,as well as the title . it tells us that a boy(the one wearing a t shirt saying I did not win the lottery)has won the lottery and it is hard for him to actually keep the money . The main actors are bow wow , ice cube , Brandon t . Jackson and terry crews. There is no critical reviews on the poster . the movie was not nominated for any awards .  The production blurb is in the tiny print at the bottom of the poster . it says who made the film and the production company . The characters look like they have been placed on the background and they were not actually standing there . The people are representing a street style life. Their clothes give off this impression. The posters colours are black and yellow , grey and white . the characters are wearing similar colours to the background and red . the title is very plain , but this makes it better , because it isn’t to flashy or boring . the l and the y in lottery are slightly bigger than the other letters . There is credits at the bottom . We cannot see them that well , because they are kind of blending in with the images on the poster . they should be in a brighter font , so we can see them . This film is a comedy. This film is rated pg  13 , because of drug references , sexual content  ,some violence and brief underage drinking .it is made it the usa . it was filmed in Atlanta , Georgia , usa . On the opening weekend, it made  10 , 65 , 297 .it grossed 24 , 708 , 699 . the production company is Alcon entertainment , burg/koules productions and cube vision . the running time is 99 minutes . The director is Erik white. I think the posters were placed on billboards and in cinemas . the movie has a soundtrack . The actors in the movie are allrelated to music , mostly all of them are music artists , which have a song feauured in the movie and in the soundtrack .
