The conventions that I have used in my poster , are : image , the title of the movie, the credits and the age . this is to attract a wider audience . in my poster , the genre I have tried to create is romance . the title is ‘love hurts ‘so the audience will expect it to be a romance , but it’s really a comedy romance . the things I will use in my trailer would be the main points of the film , the funny and romantic parts . the main characters are in the poster . my film is a romantic comedy . I chose paramount pictures to produce my film because of all the romantic comedys they have produced .

This poster is for the film lottery ticket . the poster has an image of  young characters on it . In the background there is an image of a shop where the lottery ticket was bought. The main conventions of a movie poster are an eyecatching image and a catchy slogan and interesting title. The title is the main point of the film .The colour of the text is white and the writing is set out in a specific way the l and y is a larger font than the rest of the letters . It is placed in the middle of the poster .underneath the title theire is a slogan saying winning is just the beginning , surviving is another story . it gives of the main points of the story,as well as the title . it tells us that a boy(the one wearing a t shirt saying I did not win the lottery)has won the lottery and it is hard for him to actually keep the money . The main actors are bow wow , ice cube , Brandon t . Jackson and terry crews. There is no critical reviews on the poster . the movie was not nominated for any awards .  The production blurb is in the tiny print at the bottom of the poster . it says who made the film and the production company . The characters look like they have been placed on the background and they were not actually standing there . The people are representing a street style life. Their clothes give off this impression. The posters colours are black and yellow , grey and white . the characters are wearing similar colours to the background and red . the title is very plain , but this makes it better , because it isn’t to flashy or boring . the l and the y in lottery are slightly bigger than the other letters . There is credits at the bottom . We cannot see them that well , because they are kind of blending in with the images on the poster . they should be in a brighter font , so we can see them . This film is a comedy. This film is rated pg  13 , because of drug references , sexual content  ,some violence and brief underage drinking .it is made it the usa . it was filmed in Atlanta , Georgia , usa . On the opening weekend, it made 10, 65 , 297 .it grossed 24 , 708 , 699 . The production company is Alcon entertainment, burg/koules productions and cube vision. The running time is 99 minutes . The director is Erik white. I think the posters were placed on billboards and in cinemas. The movie has a soundtrack . The actors in the movie are all related to music, mostly all of them are music artists , which have a song featured in the movie and in the soundtrack .

Brainstorm

The genre of my film is comedy and romance. A main stream company would be distributing my film. This company would be advertising my film worldwide. The target audience for my film will is teenagers. The key characters in my film will be teenage boys and girls. The first scene of my film would be set in college, were they are walking in to it, like an American movie. The characters will be popular students , about to go into college , but they are ‘a struggle’ .

In a film trailer the typical codes and conventions are: key moments from the film which are not necessarily placed in the same order. The main stars are always featured in the trailer. In this case, ‘bow wow’ is the main star in the film, therefore the trailer. The name of the producers and directors are always featured in the trailer. Most may stream companies, have a voice over in there trailers. Trailers are usually distributed on TV, the internet, and social networking sites like face book. Music is a main thing in this trailer, there is songs playing over the top. The main audience will be people who like rap music , and basically know what it’s like on the streets . The release date is given in the trailer, in big font. The genre of the film is mentioned in the trailer. The setting of the film is o streets. This makes the audience know what the films about. The trailer includes the main points of the film, which will attract an audience straight away, by including fight scenes, funny scenes and sad scenes . Every movie trailer does the same thing. This trailer includes all the codes and conventions.
